How much will my adventure cost?Nearly all tours will be customized to the group’s needs causing variations in the tour prices. We offer hourly rentals as well as multiple-day tours. Contact the store or talk to us about your tour needs for the best results.

What is the cancellation?All Cancellation requests must be received in writing.

How old do you have to be to ride?You need to be 18 or older. The riders take full responsibility for the equipment they rent and whom they let ride.

What is a damage deposit?We require all customers to leave a $300 dollar per bike for deposit /credit card pre-authorization/. When the final inspection is complete the deposit will be refunded.

What are some of the common reasons damage deposits are kept?The customer agrees he/she will return the equipment in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear accepted, and to repair and replace lost or stolen, damaged or broken bicycles or parts or to reimburse Cycling Gobi for the equipment. Therefore, regardless of the party at fault, the customer understands and agrees to be responsible for the theft or damage to the equipment.

What kind of terrain should I expect in the riding areas?If you have never been off-roading in Mongolia, it is a unique experience. The trails range from easy FSR trails for beginners to technical areas for the most advanced rider. Some trails include steep climbs and plenty of whoops. With any trail, you can expect to see breathtaking views. You can ride through canyons built by mountain runoff, or mud holes along the routes.

What time do I pick up and drop off the rental equipment?You may pick up the rental equipment as early as 8:30 am on the first day of your rental period. Everything must be returned by 5:30 pm on the final day of your rental period to avoid paying late fees. It may be possible to pick up your rental equipment the night before, call +976 88883888 for availability.

What is the fee for a late return?An additional day’s rental fee will be charged for each day the customer keeps the equipment after the return date specified in this contract. Rates for additional days: $25 per day, per bike for mountain bikes

Terms & ConditionsTerms & Conditions Wherever used herein, the term “equipment” shall include any equipment rented from Cycling Gobi. Cycling Gobi, its agents, servants, and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss, or delay incurred by any person arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier or other person rendering any of the services or products being offered in these rentals; nor shall Cycling Gobi be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reasons of any event beyond the actual control of Cycling Gobi, or of any agent or supplier, or due to force majeure. Renters follow any suggested itinerary at their own risk and agree not to hold Cycling Gobi responsible for injury or death resulting from accidents. We strongly recommend the use of approved helmets whenever mounted on a bicycle. Helmets can be provided at no extra cost. The bicycles provided for use are in satisfactory operating condition and participants agree to use them at their own risk or call deficiencies to the attention of a company representative. Individual bike specifications are subject to change based on the availability of replacement components. Instruction in the use, assembly, and maintenance of bicycles will not be provided and participants affirm that they are competent and familiar with the use of a multi-speed bicycle. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION Delivery and collection service is subject to approval by management at the delivery and collection location, our courier provider and Cycling Gobi. All delivery and collection locations should have a staffed reception and local contact phone number. Renters are responsible for ensuring that management at their accommodation is agreeable to accepting bike delivery and providing safe storage for bikes pending the renters’ arrival. Similarly, renters are responsible for ensuring that management at the designated collection address is agreeable to safely storing bikes and handing them over to our courier service. Renters staying in private residences may collect bikes from the nearest courier depot and return them to the same. Delivery and collection locations must be confirmed up to 14 days before the rental start date. Delivery location changes less than 14 days before the rental start date are only allowed if the change is for a courier depot or partner location (fee may apply) Renters are responsible for ensuring bikes are ready for collection at the designated collection location no later than 8:30 am the day after their rental end date. Bikes and equipment should be prepared following provided instructions and photo/s of the same sent to ride@cyclinggobi.com or +976 88883888 by text or WhatsApp. Changes to your collection location less than 14 days before the rental start date and/or during your rental will incur a fee of $100 per bike. MAINTENANCE, TUNING, AND RESPONSIBILITY Although all our bikes are professionally serviced before dispatch, bicycles may need tuning or maintenance during the rental period; such maintenance will be carried out at the renter's expense. Cycling Rentals will cover the cost of damage due to equipment failures beyond the renter’s control, i.e. damage that occurred during transport or worn parts. Any deficiencies must be communicated to Cycling Gobi within 48 hours of receipt of the equipment. To be eligible for a refund on such parts and services, you must provide Cycling Gobi with a photo of the damaged or worn parts and an invoice for new parts or services. Cycling Gobi is responsible for structural deficiencies such as damaged frames, worn bottom brackets, suspension, and wheel hubs. Cycling Gobi is not responsible for the following occurrences during bike rental: gear tune-ups/punctures / broken spokes / broken chains / broken derailleurs / broken dropouts / wheel rim damage / torn saddles / stripped threads on pedal crank /damage beyond the control of Cycling Gobi and resultant of rider use or misuse. If you are undertaking an unassisted bicycle tour, we strongly recommend that you have some basic bicycle maintenance knowledge. A list of the closest bike shops can be provided on request. RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE OR LOSS The customer agrees he/she will return the equipment in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear accepted, and to repair and replace lost or stolen, damaged or broken bicycles or parts or to reimburse Cycling Gobi for said equipment. Therefore regardless of the party at fault, the customer understands and agrees to be responsible for the theft or damage to said equipment. SUBLEASING PROHIBITED The customer understands and agrees that any subleasing of rental equipment is prohibited and that any such sublease shall immediately cause termination and cancellation of this contract. CUSTOMER LIABILITY Customer shall assume liability for any and all damage or loss of and to personal property, accident/injury to other persons related to the said rental equipment. PERSONAL INSURANCE Cycling Gobi can provide at an extra cost a personal accident insurance policy. We strongly recommend that you always carry a personal or travel insurance policy. THEFT AND DAMAGE INSURANCE You may pay an additional Theft & Damage insurance fee which in case of theft or damage to the bicycle will reduce payments by half those on our Price List. In case of theft, a formal Police Report must be lodged and a copy must be forwarded to us in order to activate the insurance. In case of damage, a photo must be provided to us. PAYMENT TERMS Bike rental Groups of 5 or fewer: Upon confirmation, a deposit of $50 per bike is requested to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied to your invoice and the remaining balance is payable up to 15 days before your start date or your reservation is subject to cancellation. Groups of 6 or more: Upon confirmation, a deposit of $50 per bike is requested to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied to your invoice and the remaining balance is payable up to 15 days before your start date or your reservation is subject to cancellation. Cycling Gobi: Upon confirmation, a deposit of $300 per person/bike is requested to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied to your invoice and the remaining balance is payable up to 15 days before your start date or your reservation is subject to cancellation. Please note the following items are NON-REFUNDABLE: We may require a damage deposit in the form of a credit card charge plus the driver’s license/photo ID of one member of the party. Any deposit given by the customer shall be applied to the balance and guarantee the faithful performance of all the provisions of this agreement and all repairs necessary to said equipment. If any action is brought to enforce any of the terms of conditions of this agreement or to recover any sums due to hereunder, the customer agrees to pay all legal fees, court costs, or other expenses. CANCELLATION All Cancellation requests must be received in writing. Bike Rental (groups of 5 or less): 30 days or more prior to your start date you have 3 options: 1. Switch to another date with no fees 2. Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration* 3. Cancel your trip and receive a refund for bike deposits** 21 days - 29 days before your start date you have 3 options: 1. Switch another date for your trip with no fees. 2. Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration* 3. Cancel your booking and receive a 50% refund** 21 days or less: no refunds, no credit *subject to availability **All refunds are subject to a service fee of 15% of the total amount paid Cycling Gobi and all groups of 6 or more: 60 days or more prior to your start date you have 3 options: 1. Switch to another date with no fees 2. Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration* 3. Cancel your trip and receive a refund for deposits** 45 days - 59 days before your start date you have 3 options: 1. Switch to another date with no fees 2. Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration* 3. Cancel your trip and receive a 50% refund** 45 days or less: no refunds, no credit *subject to availability **All refunds are subject to a service fee of 15% of the total amount paid Unless otherwise stated, credits issued have no expiration and are transferable. Once issued, credits are not refundable. Please note the following items are NON-REFUNDABLE: Bike rentals and cycling holidays ending before the end date are not eligible for a refund. Any applicable refunds will be issued upon the return of all rented equipment. LATE RETURN FEE: An additional day’s rental fee will be charged for each day the customer keeps equipment after the return date specified on this contract. Rates for additional days: $25 per day, per bike for mountain bikes All equipment must be returned directly to Cycling Gobi or wherever agreed. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT: The customer agrees that Cycling Gobi has the right to terminate this agreement at any time and retake possession of said equipment and for said purpose, Cycling Gobi may enter upon the premises of the customer without becoming liable for trespass.
